UiPath Orchestrator can provision, deploy, trigger, monitor, measure, and track attended and unattended robots. It connects to enterprise credential stores, retains an audit trail, and supports cloud or customer-managed deployment. That is the scope UiPath describes on its Orchestrator product page.

OpenAdapt has no credible answer to “replace our entire UiPath program.” I wouldn’t offer one.

A fleet needs a platform

At a large organization, the robot is one component. Studio produces packages. Orchestrator assigns machines, schedules jobs, tracks queues, records audit events, and gives an operations team a central control surface. Attended robots help employees; unattended robots handle back-office work.

Inventory, ownership, credentials, environments, rollout controls, support, and training accumulate around hundreds of automations. UiPath has spent years on those problems. As of 2026-08-26, its pricing page says Basic starts at $25 per month. Standard and Enterprise use contact-sales pricing. Healing Agent is available for purchase with Standard and included with Enterprise.

A functioning center of excellence should keep that machinery.

One transaction can still deserve a stricter contract

OpenAdapt takes a narrower unit: one exact workflow version. Qualification binds the sealed bundle to its application and environment, declared inputs, permitted actions, identity checks, effect contract, policy, and retained evidence.

A person demonstrates the task. The compiler produces a reviewable program. Healthy runs replay deterministically without asking a model to plan the work again. A configured verifier reads an API, database, exact file, or another independent state before a consequential write returns VERIFIED.

A clean click or a completed job cannot prove the saved result by itself. If an action might have reached the target and the independent evidence remains inconclusive, OpenAdapt returns RECONCILIATION_REQUIRED. It preserves the evidence and suppresses a blind replay.

UiPath can contain similar checks when its developers build them. OpenAdapt makes the transaction contract the object that moves through qualification, execution, release, and repair review.

Coexistence through a normal process boundary

A customer could connect the two across a normal process boundary. UiPath would orchestrate the larger case. A governed OpenAdapt runner would handle one UI-bound transaction and return its typed result. The surrounding process could continue, retry a reversible earlier step, or route reconciliation to an operator.

This is an architecture option, not a published OpenAdapt-UiPath connector. It still needs identity, authorization, idempotency, and audit design in the customer environment.
